Free GTM Skills / Foundation / Playbook 2
Marketing brain
One folder of plain text files that holds everything about the company's go‑to‑market: who it is, who it sells to, what it sells, how it sounds, where it is going, how it does things, and what is happening now. People edit it. AI assistants read it before doing any work and file new information into it.
Why it matters
Without it, every piece of marketing work starts with explaining the business again, and the output is generic. With it, a new hire or an AI assistant has day-one context, decisions carry their reasons, and nothing learned in a meeting is lost. Every other playbook reads from it and writes back to it when it exists.
Order of operations
- Copy the template folder into Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint or a repo.
- Have the assistant draft every file from what it already knows; mark unknowns rather than inventing.
- Correct the drafts one folder at a time, five minutes each.
- After every meeting, paste the notes or transcript and say file this.
- Once a month, read the foundation files and fix anything stale; move dated material to the current folder.
